Habitats: Chalk and limestone grassland, wasteground and dry grassland.
Habits: The moth flies around the foodplant in early evening sunshine.
Foodplant: The larva spins two or three ripening seeds of Wild Carrot, Wild Angelica, Burnet Saxifrage or Ground Elder together and feeds within them. It pupates in a sparse cocoon on the ground.
