Habitats: Coniferous woodland.
Habits: The moth flies from mid-afternoon to early evening. It then flies from dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva overwinters in a silk tube amongst the needles of Scot's Pine, Norway Spruce, White Spruce, European Silver Fir, White Fir and Junipers. In the spring it feeds on the fresh shoots a silk gallery, but forms a dense web when feeding on Juniper. It pupates within the larval spinning.
