Forewing: M 8 to 9.5mm, F 9 to 11mm

Habitats: Damp heathland.

Habits: The moth flies over the foodplant from dusk. It has not been recorded since 1912 near Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in a spun leaf on a terminal shoot of Bog Myrtle. It pupates in the larval spinning or in the leaf litter.

On the European mainland it has also been recorded feeding on Aspen, birch, Hazel, Bilberry and Bog Bilberry.
