Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: After overwintering while small the polyphagous larva feeds from within rolled or spun leaves of Bog Myrtle, Billberry, Ivy, oak, birch, Hazel, willow and many other broadleaved trees and shrubs. It pupates within the larval feeding site.
