Foodplant: The polyphagous larva feeds on a variety of low-growing herbaceous plants and grasses from a silk tube under stones or among the roots of the foodplants. Alpine Bistort is a known foodplant in the Scottish Highlands. It pupates in a spinning at or near the site of the larva habitation.
