Habitats: High moorland, mountain mosses, bogs and coastal heathland.

Habits: It flies in numbers on warm afternoons, even if it is overcast.

Foodplant: The larva spins the leaves together or spins the terminal shoots to the stem of Bilberry, Cowberry, Bog Myrtle, Alpine Lady's-mantle, Cloudberry, cinquefoils and Lodgepole Pine.
