Habitats: Woodland, parkland and gardens.
Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light and Ivy blossom.
Foodplant: The larva at frst lives in a web under a leaf and later between two spun leaves of Beech, Hornbeam, Field Maple or Sycamore. It pupates spun to the leaf litter.
On the European mainland whitebeams, birch, poplar, oaks and brambles are recorded as foodplants.
