Forewing: 6 to 9mm

Habitats: Open woodland, scrub, hedgerows, orchards and gardens.

Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day and later comes to light and Ivy blossom.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from the spun leaves of Blackthorn, plum, Hawthorn, apples, pears, whitebeams, roses and occasionally Laurel, Hazel, oaks and probably other trees and shrubs. It pupates in the larval spinning.
