Habitats: Marshes, fens and water meadows.

Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds within a drawn together spun shoot of Meadowsweet. It pupates in the shoot, a folded leaf edge or in the leaf litter.

On the European mainland, Salad Burnet and Yarrow have been recorded as foodplants.
