Forewing: 9 to 11mm

Habitats: Woodland, scrub, hedgerows, heathland, fens and sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth flies over the foodplant at dusk then again after midnight. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from within folded leaves or shoots spun to the stem of Eared Willow, Creeping Willow, Osier, Crack Willow, White Poplar, Grey Poplar, Blackthorn and Bog-myrtle. It pupates away from the feeding place, in a spun leaf or in the leaf litter.
