Forewing: 6 to 9mm
Habitats: Sand-dunes, vegetated shingle and downland.
Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds within the spun leaves and shoots of Burnet Rose. It pupates in a white cocoon in a leaf spinning or in the leaf litter.
On the European mainland it has been recorded on other roses and Blackthorn.
