Habits: It will fly on sunny spring afternoons. It comes to light.
Foodplant: In a slight web on the upper shoots and flowers of Heather, heaths, Bilberry and Cowberry. In Scotland it has been recorded on Lodgepole Pine and Sitka Spruce. It usually pupates amongst moss or leaf litter, but sometimes in the larval spinning.
