Habitats: Moorland, bogs, wet heathland and damp woodland.
Habits: The moth flies in the evening and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds from within a neat spinning of Bog-myrtle leaves, drawn in towards the stem. It has also been recorded from Goat Willow, White Poplar and Meadowsweet. It pupates in a spinning in the leaf litter or below the soil.
