Similar species:

Forewing: 8 to 10mm

Habitats: Woodland rides and margins, coastal landslips, damp or marshy grassland and ditches.

Habits: The male flies around the foodplant in the early evening, while females are settled on the leaves. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva lives in a silk tube in the roots of Common Fleabane.

On the European mainland it has also been recorded feeding on Field Wormwood.
