Habitats: Boggy heathland and fens.

Habits: The moth flies over the foodplants on warm evenings.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in the seed-capsules of Marsh Lousewort. There is one record of moths being reared from the seed-pods of Bogbean. It pupates in a dense cocoon in the leaf litter or in the earth.
