Similar species: The white curled hook shape at the outer edge of the darker markings separates this moth from similar species.
Forewing: 8 to 10.5mm
Habitats: Open woodland, woodland rides and margins, marshland and stream margins.
Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds from a spinning of tightly spun leaves, on the young terminal shoots of Goat Willow. It pupates in the spinning or amongst leaf litter on the ground.
