Forewing: 8 to 9.5mm

Habitats: Woodland, heathland, mountain moorland and mosses.

Habits: The moth flies from just before dusk onwards and comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from between two leaves of birches spun flat together. It pupates in the larval feeding place or two leaves spun together, which later fall to the ground.
