Similar species:
Forewing: 5.5 to 8mm
Habitats: Along hedgerows and meadows.
Habits: There are records from Monmouthshire in 1962 and Devon in 1985.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain and Ireland. On the European mainland it feeds in the rootstock of Umbellate Hawkweed or Hogweed and possibly sow-thistles. It pupates the following year in early June.
