Similar species:

Forewing: 5.5 to 7.5mm

Habitats: Coniferous woodland, coniferous heathland and gardens.

Habits: The moth flies from before dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a loose spinning amongst the shoots and male flowers of Scots Pine or Maritime Pine. It pupates in a sparse cocoon in the larval spinning.
