Forewing: 6 to 8.5mm
Habitats: Open woodland, parkland, hedgerows with trees and gardens.
Habits: The moth flies around the trees from sunset onwards. It later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva forms a 'pocket' by folding down the edge of a leaf or spinning together two leaves, of Aspen or very occasionally Black Poplar. It overwinters full-fed in the larval habitation which falls amongst the leaf litter in autumn. It pupates there in April.
