Forewing: 6 to 8mm

Habitats: Dry grassland, heathland and sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth flies in the afternoon. It occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in a folded leaf spun into a 'pod' on Creeping Willow. It overwinters full-fed and pupates in April, although in captivity it may pupate straight away and produce adults in October.
