Forewing: 6 to 8mm

Habitats: Open woodland and heathland.

Habits: The moth flies at dusk and occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva spins a folded leaf to form a 'pod' on willows (other than Creeping Willow). It overwinters full-fed in a cocoon spun amongst the leaf litter where it pupates in April.
