Similar species:

Forewing: 5.5 to 7.5mm

Habitats: Open woodland, moorland, mosses and heathland.

Habits: The moth is easily disturbed and flies in sunshine, especially in the morning. It can sometimes be found flying in large numbers just before sunset.

Foodplant: The larva spins a folded leaf to form a 'pod' on Bilberry and Bog Bilberry. The larva overwinters full-fed in a cocoon in a folded leaf in the leaf litter. It pupates in the cocoon in April.
