Similar species:

Forewing: 6.5 to 8.5mm

Habitats: Woodland, scrub, hedgerows and gardens.

Habits: The moth rests openly on foliage during the day. It flies at dusk and comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva rolls one or two leaves which are attached to a twig, from there it feeds on the adjacent leaves of Hawthorn, Blackthorn and occasionally Cotoneaster. The pupa is loosely spun up in leaves of the foodplant.

On the European mainland it is known to feed on Wild Pear, Crab Apple, Blackberry, Goat Willow and nettles.
