Habits: The moth is easily flushed from Alder foliage by day. It flies low amongst the trees at dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The small larva lives in a rolled leaf on a terminal shoot of Alder. It later spins a leaf into a pod. It pupates in a tough brown cocoon in the soil.
