Habitats: Waste ground, road verges and sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth suns itself on the foodplant in sheltered sites and flies in afternoon sunshine. It occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in the rootstock of Tansy. It pupates in the feeding place.
