49.364 Ash Bark Tortrix Pammene suspectana (Lienig & Zeller, 1846)
pRDB2
Similar species:
Forewing: 5 to 6mm
Habitats: Woodland.
Habits: The moth is said to spend the day resting high up in Ash trees. The moth was recorded in Cambridgshire in 1975 and 1976 and Norfolk in 2017 and thought to be extremely rare. Recent recording with pheromone lures has shown that this is not the case.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain, but it is thought that the larva may feed in or under the bark of Ash.
