Habits: The moth rests openly on the leaves of its foodplant in the afternoon. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva lives within an untidily spun shoot of Goat Willow, Grey Willow, Creeping Willow or Osier Willow and probably other willows. It pupates in a cocoon spun up under the loose bark of the foodplant, in dead stems or rotten wood.
