Forewing: 12 to 13mm

Habitats: Heathland, vegetated shingle and calcareous grassland.

Habits: The moth is hard to find in the day resting on dead gorse. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Common Gorse or Dwarf Gorse from a strong silk web amongst the lower branches. It overwinters in a silk tube within the web, then continues feeding in the spring. It later pupates in the web.
