Similar species: Acrobasis consociella lacks the orange basal area to the forewings and has more sombre markings.

Forewing: 9 to 11mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland and scrub woodland.

Habits: The moth can occasionally be disturbed from oak foliage on hot days. It later comes to light and sugar.

Foodplant: The larva spins together a small bunch of leaves of Pedunculate Oak or perhaps other oaks, usually high in the tree.
