Habitats: Mountains up to 1100 metres.
Habits: The moth flies during the day in warm, calm weather. It visits the flowers of Thrift and Wild Thyme.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. It has been associated with Woolly Hair Moss Racomitrium lanuginosum and other mosses.
On the European mainland it has been associated with Sheep's-fescue and clubmosses Lycopodium spp. The larva is said to overwinter.
