Forewing: 11 to 14mm
Habitats: Stable parts of sand-dunes.
Habits: The moth flies from dusk. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva lives in a long silk tube, part-covered in sand on the rootstock of Sand Couch, Lyme-grass and possibly hair-grasses. It pupates in a long, spun vertical cocoon just outside the larval gallery.
