Habits: The moth is nocturnal and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva lives in a frass-covered silk tube on the stem bases of Common salt-marsh-grass, Borrer's salt-marsh-grass and possibly other grasses. It pupates in an oval cocoon covered in bits of debris.
