Similar species:

Forewing: 17 to 20mm

Habitats: Woodland with an abundance of Small-leaved Lime.

Habits: The males come readily to light in the later part of the evening.

Foodplant: The larva feeds high in the canopy on Small-leaved Lime. It has only rarely been found in the lower epicormic growth of tall trees, but larvae have been found when the canopy has been searched. It pupates in spun leaves.
