Rare Immigrant; former Jersey resident
Similar species: Bright Wave Idaea ochrata is paler with less prominent cross-bands and much paler fringe.
Forewing: 9 to 10mm
Habitats: On the European mainland, woodland clearings and dry grassland.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day and comes to light.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in the wild. In captivity it accepts docks and bedstraws. It probably pupates in the leaf litter.
