Forewing: 15 to 18mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland rides and clearings usually on light soils, conifer plantations within old woodland, mature hedgerows and established scrub on chalk grassland.

Habits: The moth is occasionally disturbed in the day. It comes sparingly to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Bramble, Raspberry, Dewberry and Hazel. It pupates in loose soil.
