Habitats: Rough ground, derelict weedy sites, wasteground, farmland, allotments, gardens, vegetated shingle and sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth flies from dusk and comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on the flowers and seeds of goosefoots and oraches. It pupates under the soil.
