Similar species: Grey Mountain Carpet Entephria caesiata lacks the orange-yellow markings.
Forewing: 17 to 18mm
Habitats: Limestone gorges, outcrops, ravines and overhangs.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed from rock faces during the day. The moth is nocturnal and comes sparingly to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the flowers and later the leaves of English Stonecrop, Yellow Saxifrage, Mossy Saxifrage, Purple Saxifrage and Roseroot. The single generation moths from the east highlands where numbers peak in late July can produce two generations in captivity.
