70.150 Toadflax Pug Eupithecia linariata ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Common

Similar species: Foxglove Pug Eupithecia pulchellata has the dark basal marking to the forewing that continues narrowly to the rear edge. It also has a less uniform pale and dark grey cross-band which is often interrupted by a narrow pale streak across it.

Forewing: 9 to 10mm

Habitats: Calcareous grassland, including wasteground, road verges, gardens and many other urban sites.

Habits: The moth comes to light.
