Similar species: Superficially similar to the slightly larger (12 to 15mm) Marbled Green Bryopsis muralis which has an incomplete inner central cross-line.
Forewing: 10 to 13mm
Habitats: Coastal scrubby sand-dunes, lichen covered hedgerows and scrub, urban areas and gardens.
Habits: The moth comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on lichens on trees and other substrates. It pupates in a tough lichen covered cocoon amongst lichen, attached to bark or in a bark crevice.
