Similar species: Marbled Green Bryopsis muralis has an incomplete inner central cross-line and a smaller non waisted kidney mark.
Forewing: 12 to 14mm
Habitats: Sea-cliffs, quarries, lichen covered trees, orchards, open woodland, old walls, stone farm buildings and gardens with older buildings.
Habits: The moth can occasionally be found resting on walls. It nectars at flowers and comes to sugar and light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds at night on lichens on walls, roofs and rocks, including Lecidea confluens and Xanthoria parietina. It hides in a silken shelter during the day which is where it pupates.
